REQUIREMENTS: The incumbent must have Matric/Grade 12 Certificate Must have a National Diploma in Environmental Management or equivalent qualification Three (3) years relevant municipal experience Possession of a Project Management Qualification will be an added advantage Good understanding of Umzinyathi District’s projects Proven knowledge of project management Excellent computer skills Must have a valid driver’s license Ability to work under pressure and extended hours Have good verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy.
KEY PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: The incumbent must be familiar with the objectives and targets of the projects. Assist in collating and reporting on job opportunities created through the (EPWP) Projects as part of Expanded Public Works Programme. Monitor, evaluation prepare reports on projects/ programs. Preparation of reports to council structures etc. Ordering equipment, materials and other requirements to the workers to do work keep facilities in a good condition. Conducting regular inspections of the work terrain. Attending public queries and provide feed back.
Attending to a Staff needs (Health& Safety, work related and personal problems, training & discipline. Conducting induction /workshop for all beneficiaries. Preparing monthly register and daily monitoring of registers including monthly verification of staff  Distributing of payslips as proof of payments  Preparing weekly/monthly report to assist Manager Preparing monthly report to implementing agent Preparing quarterly report to Public Works Preparing quarterly report Public Works Preparing time sheet for payment purposes Written applications form together with a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae and certified copies of qualifications (SAQA validation required for qualifications obtained outside of South Africa), drivers’ license (not learner’s license) and SA identity document/card must be forwarded to: THE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER UMZINYATHI DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY P.O BOX 1965 DUNDEE 3000. No facsimile or late applications will be accepted.
